You might remember this couple from this fun San Antonio engagement session last year. I am so honored that my nephew and his new wife asked me to photograph their wedding! It was a glorious windy day. Thankfully that help cut down the summer heat. Also, we didn’t see snakes. Amen.
If you live in San Antonio you should definitely check our Boerne Milestone. It is a fabulous venue with the trifecta: stunning views, space for larger weddings, and a well landscaped outdoor ceremony area.
There are a few key moments I want to touch on. First, the groom’s brother is stationed in Guam and was unable to attend the wedding. Luckily the timing worked out that he was still able to video chat and walk down the aisle and see Alexis walk down the aisle too! It was so sweet that worked out.
Alexis’s family are all from Louisiana so Tim & Alexis choose to do a second line during their reception. This was my first time getting to document one and I certainly hope it’s not the last! Personally, I enjoyed watching half the crowd exuberantly parading through the venue and the other half walking wondering what the heck they were doing.
Being the huge Disney fan that Alexis is one of Tim’s groomsman decided to surprise the couple with an acoustic guitar Disney medley. It was so touching and I loved watching everyone get up and dance while singing the songs we all know.
Tim also surprised Alexis with an amazing getaway car, a Maserati!
Finally, my favorite part of the day was the overabundance of excited emotions. Everyone was tearing up (especially Tim) out of pure happiness! I loved how during the first look Tim started getting teary before Alexis even got to the bridge! It was simply the sweetest!
Congrats to the newlyweds!
