So let’s just talk about these two. They are pretty much amazing. They decided to go to the Decatur Courthouse to get married which basically means you show up, wait in line, and gear up for a lot of spontaneity/uncertainty. It was all pretty sterile until we actually got into the courtroom (with 3 other couples who were characters to say the least.)
If I could write a review for the particular judge that wed Ari & Julia it would be 10 out of 5 stars. She invited Ari & Julia up to the podium and from that moment on magic happened. Somehow she created this environment (keep in mind the screaming baby in the room) that was so private, so quiet, and so so perfect. Every distraction and extraneous sound melted away. All of a sudden it was simply Ari & Julia. It felt like they were the only ones in the room. The judge spoke so softly that you could only hear if you were right in front of her but so clearly that you couldn’t miss the words of Ari & Julia’s vows. The words they said “I do” to.
The ceremony was short but filled with all the gravity of what Ari & Julia were pledging to one another, forever and ever. It was simple. It was extraordinary.
