David & Olivia | Family Land Engagement

Let’s just take a moment and praise this engagement session. We took a risk with rain (common theme for me lately) and it paid off sooooo well! I mean just look at this dreamy evening light. Fun fact: right before the sun sets is called golden hour for it’s heavenly soft, precious glow. I also lovingly refer to it as the-time-of-day-when-magic-simply-happens.

So I know I am going to love a couple (and their wedding) when our engagement shoot begins and ends with a lightsaber battle. These aren’t just plain plastic ones from wal-mart either, they are battle ready with sound effects AND you can get the colors changed in them to whatever you want! Olivia will have hers changed to purple for the wedding (woman after my own heart.)

We shot on Olivia’s family property that have been in the family for 200 years! It was amazing to stand in her driveway and she points out where her uncle, grandfather, and even great-grandfather live! It is the most beautiful area I could dream to grow up in. We went from creek, wood bridge, fence, wide open spaces, huge oak trees, and (because why not) a waterfall. If I ever lived on a property like that I WOULD NEVER LEAVE.
