This wedding was a blast to shoot with Tessa Marie Weddings. This was during the rainiest fall/winter season EVER! It seemed like every wedding I photographed the weather just up and decided to rain on and off that day. Fun fact: This was the rainiest December since 1919. Good Heavens! The morning of this wedding was no different. I woke up and only saw rain clouds.
When I arrived at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center (which is absolutely stunning, by the way) this gorgeous bride had decided that a little drizzle was not going to ruin her day or her plan to get married outside in the sprawling lush gardens. I am so glad she stuck to her guns because the moment she started walking down the stairs towards her new husband the misty drizzle of rain decided to take a break and it was perfect.
The atmosphere of this wedding was nothing but celebration and joy. I think the fact that these lovebirds had been together since 6th grade certainly gave everyone that “about time” sort of giddiness. It was pretty contagious. I hope you catch the giddiness too.
I wish rain only happened during the week but on the flip side I got this awesome umbrella photo.
These cup signifiers were hilarious. They each had a different groomsman’s name on them.
The amount of mirrors at the hair/makeup station made photographing so much fun! It also made my bring out my ninja skills to not be in one of them!
I know makeup pros as well as photographers know that sometimes you just have to go where the best light it, even if it’s in a window sill.
They choose to do this on their own and it was fantastic because Josh did not expect it whatsoever.
I simply can’t get enough of garden weddings. They make my heart go pitter patter.
The father daughter dance was so sweet to watch. I just had to include it!
