Sean & Caroline’s wedding went off without a hitch. This is so rare I had to pinch myself. We stayed on time, no one forgot anything, it didn’t rain and no one got lost. Hallelujah for well prepared and beautiful weddings! Caroline’s bridesmaids were cracking jokes while they got ready. Meanwhile, Sean and his groomsmen had a nerf gun fight fully suited up. I loved seeing different ways to pass the time as well as keep the nerves as bay.
I loved getting to hang out with their wedding party (spoiler: they are all siblings to Sean & Caroline). They made the day even more special and fun for everyone. I had 3 major favorite moments during the day. The first was during the catholic mass when you greet your neighbor, and Sean & Caroline shared a huge hug. It was after their wedding vows (they chose to forgo a kiss) but before the service was over and you could tell they had been waiting to embrace. The second moment was both best man and maid of honor speeches. They crushed those speeches. I loved hearing their perspectives and hilarious jokes. The final moment was pretty epic. It was actually a first for me even after 10 years of photographing weddings. There was a knock down drag out tug of war for the bouquet during the toss. It was impressive how neither would release the flowers. Eventually the bouquet disintegrated and the victor was left with a couple stems and a ribbon.
Congrats Sean & Caroline to an amazing wedding and a perfect start to your marriage!
