Film Icon

February 23, 2010

Greetings!

This week I have more film pictures! I’ve been having a lot of fun with film. The theme I originated when taking these pictures was taking something ordinary and turning it into an icon…. well that sort of went out the window a bit towards the end and I do what I normally do; I shoot whatever I want and whatever catches my eye. So anywho, onto the pictures! yay!

It starts off with these FUNglasses. They are the big plastic ones you get at party city!

Then I put them on someone!

Next, on to some flowers while at lunch

And some very organically organized oranges right before they were about to be devoured

Through the years Starbucks has become a big icon for society, hence this one

Then my AWESOME double decker PB&J! It was sooo tasty that day. Seriously, try this, it will rock your world.

If you look really closely you can see me in the reflection:

This janitor’s cart looked very lonely all by itself in the stairwell

I didn’t take very many film pictures during the snow day, but I did particularly like this one

It didn’t come out quite how I hoped but I printed this one using a film negative instead of a black and white one. It took lots of trial and error to get this outcome, fun learning experience (PS- I took this in middle school, so the composition isn’t the best, but it was an experiment)

Finally, I caught these goofy girls on their way to go run

I hope you enjoyed my adventures through film as much as I have!

Until next time…
